The dreaded Windows Search.
As a power user, I have always been frustrated by the limited functionality of default Windows search. Inline commands aren't supported, searching for documents is difficult, and it is slow at finding anything that isn't an application. I started looking for alternative launchers like PowerToys Command Palette and Flow Launcher, and became immediately hooked. They addressed all my grievances and almost completely satiated my "perfect workflow" obsession. I only hoped that I could replace Windows Start with my preferred launcher entirely.
This would require rebinding the Windows key to a custom shortcut, such as win+alt+f24, which could trigger my desired launcher. However, this would eliminate all of my favorite Windows shortcuts such as win+tab and win+v. This software preserves both functionalities. Pressing and releasing the Windows key without any other inputs causes my desired launcher to open, meanwhile, pressing it with another key causes the default shortcut to trigger. It runs entirely in the background and can be configured to launch on startup.
